The 4.5″ Heddon Zara Spook is an extremely special bait. There are few baits still around today that anglers can say that started an entire Genre of lure but the Zara Spook is one of them. The Zara Spook can trace its roots back to 1939 when the first generation of it came out to begin the “Walking” bait craze that we still have today. Since then, there are few lures that can match not only the history but, also the fish catching ability of the Zara Spook. This bait still entices fish with the same walking motion it had when it came out. This bait is best worked with short pops of the rod, allowing the bait to turn its head left and right in a zig-zag or “walk the dog” motion.
